How to reach Tampere

Its very easy to get to Tampere. Travelling services are excellent and there are several possibilities to reach Tampere.

By air

Flight connections both to Finland and Tampere are excellent. It is possible to fly via Helsinki to Tampere. There are also direct flights from Copenhagen, Stockholm, London (Stansted), Frankfurt (Hahn), Tallinn and Riga to Tampere-Pirkkala International Airport.

By train

It is also possible to reach Tampere by train. The trains depart from Helsinki every hour, and the travelling time is approximately 2 hours.

By bus

Travelling by an express bus is an easy way to get from Helsinki or the Helsinki-Vantaa Airport to Tampere. The travelling time by bus is 2 hours 30 minutes.

Accommodation

Please make your hotel reservation as early as possible. The hotels in Tampere are fully booked at the moment.

We have pre-booked rooms for the conference speakers and attendees. Hotel Hermica is located near the Tampere University of Technology.
The reservation to Hotel Kauppi will be available 11 - 16 June 2006. Reservation to Hotel Kauppi needs to be done before 11 May 2006.
The reservation to Hotel Rantasipi Eden needs to be done before 26 May 2006. There is a spa in the hotel and it is situated in the town of Nokia.
The reservation to Hotel Cumulus Koskikatu will be available on 11 - 16 June 2006 and the reservation needs to be done before 11 May 2006.
The reservation to the Summer hotel Ahlman needs to be done before 31 May 2006.
They have reserved 12 double rooms for us for 45 euros per night. Cash payment or payment by Finnish Bank Card requested.
The reservation to Hotel Scandic Tampere City needs to be done before 18 May 2006.
All participants are kindly requested to make their own hotel reservation for the conference.
