Data Analysis and Mathematical Modelling
Real systems can be described using methods of mathematical modelling. These systems can then be simulated based on that description. Mathematical modelling can be utilised in many research purposes; e.g., to describe the physical environments of the simulators.
In data analysis, a huge amount of information is decoded using suitable statistical methods and/or data mining. Software outputs, theoretical understanding and mathematical know-how all play key roles.
At Hypermedia Laboratory, we adapt diverse data analysis methods from surveys of competency profiles and visualisation of tacit knowledge for technological development of simulators. Hypermedia Laboratory co-operates with Department of Mathematics of TUT.
